Information used by the service
Where the relevant features are used, the application processes account and authentication details, business membership and access information, customer and supplier records entered by users, quotes, invoices, expenses, receipts, subscription billing information, and security or audit records.
02
Companies House lookups
When you request a Companies House lookup, Tally Badger retrieves public company information from the Companies House register. If you select and confirm a company record, we may store the selected legal identity details together with source and last-checked information so that the business can be identified consistently within Tally Badger. The lookup is user initiated, and manual setup remains available where applicable. A Companies House match does not verify that a user owns, controls or is authorised to act for that company.
03
Why information is used
Information is used to provide and secure the requested service, administer accounts and subscriptions, support users and meet applicable legal obligations. The appropriate lawful basis depends on the purpose and circumstances.
04
Retention
Retention periods depend on the type of information and the purpose for which it is held. Financial records entered by users are not hidden or deleted merely because an organisation changes plan.
05
Your information rights
Under UK data-protection law, people may have rights over their personal information depending on the circumstances. A request may require enough information to identify the person, understand its scope and respond securely.
